Searches for specified
text or a numeric value in the currently loaded Data View table.
Access Methods
Menu: Data View
Find.
(The Data View menu is available only if you currently have a database
table open in the Data View window.)
Shortcut menu: Right-click a record header or a single
cell in the Data View window and choose Find.
Summary
The
search is limited to a single table column. It is not possible to
conduct a global search that scans all columns in the table.
List of Options
The following options
are displayed.
- Find
What

Specifies
the value to search for.
- Match
Case
-
Searches
for the exact value, including case, of what you enter in Find What.
If this option is cleared, the program searches for the value regardless
of case.
- Find
Next
-
Finds
the next occurrence of the value that you're searching for.
- Direction
-
Toggles
the direction that the program searches for the specified value
in the Data View window.
